rock this old man!
This is a reblog from the Tap project blog .
Jenai made it with out any assistance, technical or otherwise, from me. I think it's a great piece or edutainment.
You know how your teachers always say to sing your rhythms? This little movie proves the point.

Impact Sudan
This is the last video from my conversation with David, a friend who works for the UN on demilitarization efforts in Sudan. The audio is taken from a conversation we recently had, here in NYC, with video he made while in Sudan.
It is heartening to know that some of the people involved in making policies and developing plans for severely damaged places in the world are creative, down-to-earth and caring. It is easy to only see only the negative decisions being made by people in government and corporate agencies who seems so removed from the reality of situations at hand and never know about the people within the system who work hard on for positive change despite the odds they are up against.

Passover Pt 3
Say you want to host your own passover seder but are not sure how, simply go to:
The Open Source Haggadah
Douglas Rushkoff has this religion thing (and a few other things) all figured (in as much as things need figuring) out, Open Source Judaism is where it's at.
And now for the thrilling conclusion of The Passover Story..CLICK HERE!
Thanks again to Zeev for his contribution during my busy weekend.

Inspiration and Direction
I have been feeding of the work of Charlene Rule recently for the Honesty Week videos. Focusing specifically on her videos for inspiration has had an intense effect on my work and allowed me to take it in a direction I could never have otherwise.
Meanwhile, back in the vlogesphere, I find that two other artists have found inspiration in my work, and created their own videos from it.
Watch Raymond's here and Jan's here (be sure to check out some of the other interesting experiments they have been up to on their sites).
I watch and I am amazed. Again, a gift. To see my own work re-formed by their perspective.
I had been worried that I would not be able to make something meaningful or coherent from all the fragments I have been collecting here. This worry consumes me. Now, my own perspective a little jolted, feeling better.

Fishbone Art
Click on the image to watch
More from the DIVA Fair. We find this video in a bathroom. The artist, Douglas Fishbone found all of the images on the internet and narrates it himself. He tells me that he doesn't have a website yet, but maybe I can convince him to start a videoblog. HERE is another great video of his. It is called 'The Ugly American', again he uses appropriated imagery, and his own 'lunatic ramblings'. There is playfulness and critique at work in his juxtapositions - appying a personal perspective to the crazy over mediated world around you. I completly relate to this syle of working. It is empowering to take the thing you have the most comtempt for and reinvent it as your own. This is the cure for the sickness but only a few can provide the necessary 'spoon full of sugar' to make the medicine go down.

Rain on my parade
My ears ringing, head buzzing, learning all kinds of new things to take this farther. This project, which I told myself would take ten years to get a hold on, is comming to fruition in half the time, the rest will be a distillation period, maybe. More on that later. Been carrying around Society of Spectacle recently for subway reading. I didn't film anything myself this weekend, my camera went on vacation. This video is made from two different vacation videos sent to me by friends recently.

The Curse of The Videoblogger Continues
And this is where it all begins to get interesting, folks. A conversation I had with Chris was filmed from several perspectives, one I posted here. Now we get to see Chris' impressions HEREand HERE. And HERE you can see a vlogger in UK watching the the videoblogging conference via live feed on the internet. Another moment I am proud to have been a part of was recorded HERE. I could go on like this for a while but it's already an eyeful.

The Curse of The Videoblogger
More vloggercon related video. One of the reasons why I have been using the internet for my art is so that I no longer have to think about where I would show or sell my work. I also hoped it would become a collaborative and interactive process, as well. But this already way beyond what I would have ever expected and I have think this is just the beginning of how strange and wonderful it is going to get over time. In this video, I am talking with Chris of Human-Dog. I can't believe the things I hear myself saying. I am not drunk or stoned but certainly feeling altered by all of these strange convergences.
