Model Redevelopment

FashionwalkI take a walk down Main Street in Homestead, PA. and Daniel tells me about the buildings he is re-constructing and how they had to fight a million dollar lawsuit to fend off CVS.  It's all about setting a precedent. Also, some models, glide down the runway, allowing me to use them as a metaphor. I am not quite sure yet what it means, but it just seemed fitting. Maybe you can tell me.

Libraries

LibrariesA week spent re-ordering my belongings. Trying to clear my head. I need a new system for this archive of video. The idea was to let a structure grow organicly, develop as the work did and now I am outgrowing it. I need more files and shelves and tags. Parts need proper identification and coding for potential uses, cross referenced with all the other possibilities. I am overwhelmed with this task. I find an essay I wrote when I was eighteen, about organizing a book shelf.  I read a chapter in a book about scientific classifications. Later I find Larry and Julia also have some ideas for organizing libraries.

Nude budhists

Nudist_budhist_1 I had a feeling that I can get rather annoysome but what I found here was rather upsetting. If I offend anyone who is buddhist, nudist, gay or developmentally disabled, I am so sorry. I learned that I will say anything to get a laugh, even if it is laughing due to embarrasment or nervousness, I cannot control this.  I have a disease. Disclaimer: Lon and Zeev are not homosexual or 'retarded' though they may be buddhist and/or nudist.

We need to have a drink after work. Emma reads from menu of fancy cocktails. The fish are floating in their diorama world, I don't know if they can see us or hear us but I feel uncomfortable discussing sushi options infront of them nonetheless.

Indeed! This place may be a little too fancy for the likes of us. The waitress knows this and apologizes for the size of the plate which serves two oysters. Who are mini herring tacos for anyways, Flipper?

The Curse of The Videoblogger

Videoblog_curseMore vloggercon related video. One of the reasons why I have been using the internet for my art is so that I no longer have to think about where I would show or sell my work. I also hoped it would become a collaborative and interactive process, as well. But this already way beyond what I would have ever expected and I have think this is just the beginning of how strange and wonderful it is going to get over time.  In this video, I am talking with Chris of Human-Dog.  I can't believe the things I hear myself saying. I am not drunk or stoned but certainly feeling altered by all of these strange convergences.

One of the great things about hanging out with a bunch of photo geeks is that no one really cares if you are shooting or not (they just want to know the kind of camera and film you're using), because someone's always shooting. It's a great opportunity to catch so much natural behavior. I love the way people move and talk when they are comfortable being themselves with a camera pointed at them. For some reason this sparks my interest in working with professional performers.
