Skulls
CLick Here to Watch this video

St. Marks Church is an important part of my neighborhood. It is located on the only street in Manhattan that remains from the original (and geographically accurate) grid. And It feels like it, it feels solid- anchored. Its not a very large space but very lively. Sometimes a klezmer band plays in the plaza but more often it's a guy with a keyboard or boombox. I've seen flea markets and free markets, meetings and meditation. On this day, I meet Paul, an artist, who invites me (and anyone else passing by) to participate in The Skull Project.

I found this piece very moving. Paul is so interesting and I agree with the other comments that this is very well shot and edited. wow!

I agree. This is a great short piece. Its like a documentary in miniature, complete with a content/editing marrige. I'm glad you showed no faces. Staying focused on the skull-eggs keeps it a bit disconcerting.

I like it great as well. I've noticed I like it when people inject little personal bits into there videos, so keep doing that. And keep sharing stories, NYC *is* at one of the centers of the world and the rest of the world wants to see.

i have still doubts whether the gap has been bridged. this is a good start.

i really like this piece. it makes me think of vlogs as mini commercials that aren't trying to sell products. this was a mini-documentary that was expertly paced, and well done all around.
